Privacy Policy

Polyology respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we handle when you visit polyology.co or its product sites, contact us, or buy and activate our software.

Information you provide

If you email us or use a contact form, we receive your email address and the information you include in your message. We use it to respond and maintain necessary business records.

If you subscribe to email updates, we use your email address to send updates about the topics you select. Zoho Campaigns manages subscriptions and any confirmation step. You can unsubscribe through the link in any update.

If you sign up for early access on one of our experiment pages (opportunatee.com) or join a product launch list (such as Wayfinger), we store your email address, the page you signed up on, and the date. We use it only to tell you when that product is ready, and you can ask us to delete it at any time.

Purchases and licenses

Stripe sells our software licenses as reseller and merchant of record, so Stripe handles your payment, tax, and billing information as an independent business. You enter your card and billing details on Stripe’s checkout page; we never see or store your full card number. Stripe shares with us your email address, name, billing country, and the payment status, and handles your payment information under its own privacy policy.

To deliver and manage your license, our license service stores your email address, your license key, the product you bought, the Stripe checkout and payment references, and the date of purchase. We email your license key to you using Amazon Simple Email Service.

When you activate our software, it sends your license key and an anonymous identifier for that computer. We store the identifiers of activated computers with your license to enforce its computer limit. We do not collect your name, files, screenshots, or usage activity through activation.

Our apps

Our desktop apps keep your work on your computer. CropTop stores your captures, history, and settings in your Windows user folder and never uploads them. Apart from license activation and checks described above, our apps do not send us your files, screenshots, or usage activity. Apps installed from the Microsoft Store work the same way.

Website data

We run our own cookie-less analytics to count page visits, downloads, and clicks on buy links. When a page loads, it sends the page address, the referring site, and any campaign tags in the link. To count unique visitors, we combine your IP address and browser type with a secret value that changes every day and keep only a one-way hash, which cannot identify you or follow you across days. We do not store IP addresses, and we skip browsers that send Do Not Track. We keep only daily totals.

We also use Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand aggregate page visits and site performance without cookies or cross-site tracking. Cloudflare states that Web Analytics does not collect or use visitor personal data. Our infrastructure providers may also process standard technical data, such as IP addresses, request times, and browser information, to deliver and protect the site.

Service providers

Amazon Web Services hosts this website, our analytics, and our license service, stores license records, and sends license emails. Stripe resells our licenses and processes payments. Cloudflare provides privacy-focused web analytics. Zoho provides our business email and mailing-list services. These providers process information under their own terms and privacy commitments.

Retention and disclosure

We retain correspondence only as long as reasonably needed for the purpose it was collected, legal obligations, or legitimate business records. We keep license and purchase records for as long as the license may be used and as required for tax, accounting, and dispute records. We keep subscription information until you unsubscribe or request deletion, subject to records needed to honor your choice. We do not sell personal information. We may disclose information when required by law or necessary to protect our rights and services.

Your choices

You may ask us to access, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you, subject to applicable legal requirements. Deleting license records deactivates the license, and we may need to keep basic purchase records for tax purposes.

Changes

We may update this policy as our products and practices evolve. The effective date above identifies the latest version.
